Photoshoot Goals
Do you have specific goals you want to use your photos for? (Launch a new website, show up consistently online, promote a new product or service launch, re-brand, etc.) TELL ME EVERYTHING! :)
Your Brand Vibe
Describe your brand in three keywords: (moody, professional, fun, earthy, classy, joyful, sustainable, grounded, etc) Check out page 4 in your guide if you want some questions to help you get more clear on your brand!
Ideal Audience
Who's your dream audience? Tell me about the people you'd love to WOW with your brand photos!
Pinterest Vision Board
*
On page 5 of your planning guide, I've explained how to pull together an effective vision board using Pinterest.
Dream Location
Tell me all about your dream location. Is it a bright and white studio, one with some mood, outdoors, a beach, a forest, a coffee shop, an airbnb with some personality?
Products &/or Services
What type of product or service do you provide?
Props!
Props help customize your shoot, bring out your brand colours & tell more of a story about who you are and what you have to offer. Check out page 6 in your planning guide for more information. *FOR REFRESH SESSIONS* 3-4 props is a good variety without overwhelming yourself in a fast-paced time slot.
Wardrobe (I suggest 1-2 per hour, for MINIS 1 outfit but add some layers for variety!)
Picture your brand's personality reflected in clothing. Take a moment to imagine the kind of clothing that would be a fun and spot-on representation of your brand's vibe. Share your thoughts on this attire's style, colours, textures, and any special touches that would make it undeniably 'your brand.' Feel free to dive into how this clothing would resonate with your brand's values, the people you're trying to reach, and the overall impression you want to make.
Examples:
Coffeehouse and Bakery Brand:
-Cozy, apron-style uniforms for staff
-Earthy tones, coffee-inspired colours
-Vintage-inspired aprons with logo patches

- Soothing, calming colours like pastels
- Yoga pants and branded tank tops
Boutique Florist Brand:
Elegant, garden-inspired attire
Soft, floral colours like blush, lavender, and mint
Flowing dresses or skirts with branded aprons or sashes

Additional Shots
*
Use this box to make a list of other shots or be more specific about the shots that you need to capture during your shoot.
(*FOR MINIS: List in order which shots are most important for you to capture. We do our best with the time that we have together! We normally have time for 2-3 "scenes")
Existing Brand Guidelines
Do you have existing brand guidelines or colour themes that would be helpful to share?
Session Duration & Flexibility
There are many factors that affect the number of shots we accomplish, such as how comfortable you feel and the number of props you bring. In the event that we run out of time, you have three options: you can add on additional time if the studio is available, make a game-time decision during the shoot, or we can end your shoot where we're at. Please note that extra time costs $250 per additional half hour, which includes 15 additional images and the studio rental fee.
Add additional time if the studio is available
Stick to the planned time and end the shoot wherever we're at if additional time is not within your budget.
Make a game-time decision during the shoot.
Photo Usage
I mostly shoot in portrait orientation during a shoot unless you need website images or banners.
Communication
What's your preferred method of communication? We are teammates and do a lot of back and forth planning... Tell me how you'd like to keep in touch.
Email only please- if not, I lose track of images
Instagram messaging for quick questions along with email
Don't hold back!
Please share anything else that will help me make this an incredibly positive experience for you:
Example:
- I'm feeling terrified about being in front of the camera, I am counting on you to pump me up!
- I'm super pumped up about this and want to move quickly and capture a ton of variety
- I prefer photographs of the left side of my face/of my upper body only/with my smile with no teeth, etc. (Don't hold back here if there's something you want me to be aware of!)
- "I really want people to see me as someone who is serious, professional" or "warm, joyful, connected"
